Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation ahead of Parliament’s Monsoon Session, likened the gathering to a "Vijay Utsav", citing the Indian Armed Forces' swift and decisive success in Operation Sindoor as a defining moment of national pride.
Standing outside Parliament on Monday morning, Modi praised the military’s precision and power, stating, “In just 22 minutes, our forces dismantled terror hubs at their roots, proving the strength of ‘Made in India’ defence.” He emphasized that this display of might not only secured victory but also projected India’s military prowess on the global stage.

As the Monsoon Session commenced, Modi expressed confidence that Parliament members would reflect the collective spirit of victory and unity. “With one voice, we will honour our armed forces, encourage national pride, and push forward India’s self-reliant defence initiatives,” he remarked.
Highlighting economic concerns, the Prime Minister drew attention to the season's rainfall impact. “Water reservoirs have reached three times the average levels of the past decade. This will greatly support agriculture and the rural economy, boosting financial security for countless households.”
Modi also condemned the recent Pahalgam terror attack, calling it a stark reminder of terrorism’s epicentre and urging the world to take a firm stance. He reiterated his government's resolve against Maoism, declaring that “red zones are being transformed into green growth corridors.”
“With renewed zeal, our security forces are uprooting naxalism. Districts once trapped in fear are now breathing in freedom. The Constitution is prevailing,” he stated with optimism.
Celebrating India’s rise on the global economic and technological front, Modi reminded the nation of its transformation from a fragile economy to a contender for the third-largest spot globally. “Peace and progress have marched hand-in-hand over the last 11 years,” he asserted.
He also proudly mentioned Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s recent mission aboard the International Space Station, where the tricolour soared in space. “This achievement has ignited fresh inspiration across the country for science and innovation,” Modi concluded.
